It's not where you're going, it's where you started from

Most people have the question of where they are going in life, where they are going to end up.

But really, if you know the Law of Attraction, you will see that it really is what you are thinking and feeling Now that decides that for you.

The simple logic here is:
  • You attract in to your life what you think and feel.
  • Feeling good brings good things into your life.
  • Your surroundings back up your thoughts - or distract from them.
  • All your actions bring more of the same back to you (Golden Rule).
  • Your purpose, then, should consist of surrounding yourself with things that make you feel good. Your actions should be those that make you feel good.
The trick is to constantly review your own life and weed out those things that don't "make sense", which don't add up to being joyous at all times. If it doesn't make you or someone around you happy, why are you doing it then?

There is Be, Do, and Have. Classically, if you want to acquire or achieve something, then you have to act in a certain way, which requires you be a certain personality. Example: Arriving at work means you have to drive, which requires that you be a careful driver. Having a million dollars means you have to provide a service valuable enough to recieve that exchange, which requires you to create a rich outlook - which will provide the idea and impetus.

The first thing you have to work on is what you Are. Now, you can sit around for some time and work backwards from the end result, figuring out all the planning and studying up on all the technology you have to learn (this is commonly called primary, secondary, and college education - and post graduate for some of us).

But the real shortcut is to simply figure out what you like to do, what makes you feel good. (Which you do anyway - how many of us have changed "what we wanted to be when we grew up" many times, or changed our major and/or minor several times in college?)

I write this as I have spent half a century on this planet, which several authors have pointed out is really where a lot of people do sort out there lives. Some psychologists call this mid-life crisis. Practically, you are just re-shuffling your own deck and putting your cards in order - now that you know what pattern you want them in. So it's never too late; old dogs learn tricks faster.

You know what you want to do in your life when you decide to act on what makes you feel good, what you really like to do, what you want to fill your life with.

Only then does your path lay out in front of you.

When you are unsettled in your own life about these things, life can seem chaotic and uncertain. When you know for a fact what you love, then everything falls into place.

Don't worry about where you are going in life. Spend your time discovering where you are right now. Then you will understand the Irish blessing "May the road come up to meet you."
