Why you have to keep up your studies

I was reading an old 1910 book, "The Law of Financial Success" tonight, struck by how much of it is in Hill and "The Secret" and much of what I've gotten from Bob Proctor and other professionals in this field. What came to me is a section of Earl Nightingale's "Strangest Secret".

He said that you will tend to forget the contents of that recording after awhile. He said to re-listen to it often and supplement it with other books such as Dorthea Brand's "Wake Up and Live", as well as Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich".

For that is the point of any re-programming you want to do with your life. You have to fill the "interspaces" of your life with all sorts of positive data, reinforcing data to help you make it through your life.

I rag on the media here and there in my writings. But it is your own damn fault if you fill your life with TV commercials and what passes for cultural entertainment today. You have choices of 500 or so satellite channels, plus unlimited books and magazines - and even more with any decent Internet connection. You have, then, no excuse for what you read, view, and listen to nowadays.

What you fill your mind with is completely up to you. But what you think in that mind is what you will attract in your life.

Forwarned is forearmed.
